The Story
Heldanarr Fall has nothing left to live for. He has conquered the Burning Valley and brought its people beneath his rule, yet even as a mighty Chaos Lord, he remains a servant to a god of bloodshed who demands endless war.
Then, among the ruins of a brutal siege, Heldanarr discovers two helpless children—innocent lives worth protecting. For the first time since his rise to power, he sees the possibility of something more: a future worth fighting for and perhaps even the chance to build a better world.
But enemies are closing in. Rivals circle his throne, while dark omens warn that the legions of Hammerhal are on the march. To defend everything he has claimed, Heldanarr must once again call upon the power of Khorne.
The Lord of Skulls does not grant his gifts freely, however, and the price of that power may be the very thing Heldanarr is determined to save.
